Our Mission
The YWCA Children’s Program is dedicated to providing sustained support to children who have experienced trauma traumatized children, fostering relationships, and maximizing each child's potential to thrive. Our focus on early intervention aims to decrease the likelihood of children entering into domestic violence relationships as adults.
Basic Family Support Services
Our program offers essential family support services to ensure a healthy, safe, and thriving home environment.
Services Include:
Respite Care: For children ages 0-5 years
Case Management
Distribution of Tangible Items
Curriculum-Based Art and Recreation Activities
Children’s Advocates plan and lead groups, events, and field trips to help children and youth build skills for stress relief, self-regulation, self-identity, peer connections, and healthy relationships.
Activities Include:
“Little Learners”: For children ages 0-5 years
“Kids’ Club”: For children ages 6 years and up
“YOU Group”: For youth ages 13 years and up
Therapeutic Services
Our licensed Child and Family Therapists provide therapeutic support based on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles.
Services Include:
Individual and Family Therapy Sessions: For children/youth, adults, and families
Therapeutic Support Groups: “Skill-Builders” for children ages 6-12 years
Therapeutic Workshops and Trainings
